Visiting information
I do not allow visitors to see mom or pups before the pups are ready to go, there is no telling what a mother dog will do and if she is nursing and jumps up, pups could get crushed or killed due to her being startled by strangers, in some cases a mother dog will harm her pups due to new odors and there is no way to tell if this will be the case. Pups can be picked out on emailed pics at 8 weeks or at 8 weeks they can be seen for picking out and go home that same day, in some cases we let them go at 9 weeks instead of 8 Some adults will be contained for visitors to look at just for safety reasons, most of my dogs are not as protective and can possibly be touched once properly introduced.
Vaccines
Studies now show that vaccines are given way to much. Yearly boosters are a waste of money and can cause more harm then good by weakening the immune system and sometimes causing cancer. Also there is something called vaccinosis where vaccines give severe reactions and death after vaccination. This is more common in young pups and older dogs.
I do however recomend three sets of vaccines, ask your vet what ones are best for your puppy.
All pups can go home at 9 weeks and will come with its first set of shots given by the breeder.
I only recomend Kennel cough vaccines if your dog will be boarded over night or seen many times by a vet for treatments and if you are are a kennel with several dogs.
Your new puppy will be free of worms, fleas, ear mites and heart worms and come bathed and smelling beautiful!
(Example)
Female Black and tan puppy 9 weeks old!

why we are against very early altering.
It is true that if altered younger, animals especialy dogs grow taller but this is unatural and forces the bones to grow faster and close rapidly resulting in weaker frail bone mass.
No pupy as pet will be bred there are to many dogs in shelters. Only dogs purchased as breeders can be bred.
Do you want to breed? What should you do.
You do not have to get an OFA or PENN hip certification to breed a dog but I require at least a basic hip X ray done by your vet to confirm normal hips.
If you do decide to use a certified hip expert you can use OFA or PENN hip. We recomend OFA over Penn because in my opinion its safer and older then penn hip.
OfA is only done at age two and up Penn can be done sooner but a female German shepherd cannot be bred until 2 anyway for maturity reasons and growth.
Penn and Ofa will certify the dogs hips at a rating of Excellent, good, fair or poor, this is done through an xray at your vet and then your vet will send it off to the certified hip expert.
Microchips and Tattos
Your dog must have a Microchip or tatto to be entered in the OFA database once the Xrays are done but you still will have the dogs hip results to yourself even if you do not do this.
I however do not recomend microchipping it is unatural and can get lost in years to come in your dogs muscle and body including the eyes and not all scanners in the area will always read a certain microchip if your dog goes missing.
Also theres been cases of death and bleeding in cats and dogs just after chipping. Its better to be safe then sorry.
If you need or want identifiaction for your dog. I recomend Tattoing for indentifications with these there will be a mark either on the belly or where ever you choose and if your dog is ever stolen vets will see this, they cannot see a microchip the thief can lie and say the dog is not chipped if anyone asks. If a dog is stolen they will be afraid to keep the dog and likely return it if it has a tatto.
I will not give a puppy to anyone that cannot dedicate at least 8 hours or more in 24 hours to the puppy. I prefer my puppies to go to homes with fenced in yards but not necessary if you allow him/her an hour of exercise a day with you.
Please do not get a puppy if you don't want another member of the family, this breed is very family oriented and protective, they must be well socialized with people and other pets to be normal confident adults and it must continue through out its life, they will not tolerate being chained or kenneled up all day long with no attention they will act out agressivly and can do harm.
About deposits
Deposits are non refundable because we are offering live animals that need homes if someone changes there mind for any reason I may be stuck with a space where a deposit was needed for a good home and once a number of deposits are taken I do not take anymore, it is an adoption process, we take deposits on gender and depending on what you are looking for, it is done on a first come first serve basis, if we do not have what you are looking for, your deposit will be transfered on to the next litter. I do not give back deposits due to a change of mind or if you decide not to wait, most of everyone on my wait list will take there pup home with in 2-7 months depending if you are waiting for a next litter or already reserved a live pup or your deposit is down on a pregnat mom.
A mom dog is preg for 60-64 days and then pups can go home in another 2 months "8 or 9 weeks"
I suggest you start socializing your puppy as soon as it settles into your home, take him/her out to parks with people and other dogs but never allow anyone to pet the puppy if you will be doing protection training later. Allow family members to pet the puppy or people that you have to your home that will visit several times.
When you have found your perfect pup please ask us for a copy of our contract it is not shown here.
