Are your dogs hip certified?
Yes, all breeders will or are be OFA at age 2 just before breeding. In some cases we breed a female that is 18 months if she has had many heats this is because we try to ward of uterine infections that can happen if a dog or cat is alowed to have to many heats without breeding. In this case we still offer a 2 year on hips and elbows if a pup is found to have less then fair hips.
What lines are your shepherds?
I carry East German and West and may add other lines later.
Are your dogs more prone to hip problems because some are or will be large?
No, all GS are prone to Hip and joint problems no matter what the size. I suggest you keep any GS lean and get at least 30 min to an hour of excersize a day, be sure to alow your dog to get both walking and running, not just one or the other but never over work your German shepherd unless you will be using him/her for work and then be sure on non work days your dog gets plenty of rest.
What food do you sugest ?
I recomend Wellness core dry and all Wellness brands, these are not for large breed but they are very good and have made my dogs very healthy and vibrant. I also recomend these brands only.

We here give the Missing link vitamin powder with joint support!
Are your dogs King shepherds or Shiloh to get there size or coat?
No they are pure German shepherds. We have traditional size and oversized in our breeders. So are able to produce both.
Are German shepherds hyper?
Most GS dogs are active and love to exersize, most lines are working companion dogs others are show, we breed a mix of the two. This breed can be hyper if not trained properly but at about age 2 they mellow out a great deal. If you want a sound dog you must teach it to be sound, rough play and running will make any GS hyper, this is normal when you are being active with your dog. If your dog is locked up for several hours it will be hyper, they do not like to be caged like a wild animal. A 30 min walk will calm them down.
Do they need special training?
No but you must be willing to train your own dog, basic comands and most inprotant and to be social if you want a sound pet, these dogs are in my opinion are one of the smartest breeds and have the best temprament and can be taught how to act and react to any situation.
Are your dogs bite trained or tracking trained
We have never worked with a trainer but have for several months trained Xena to tract smells and strangers on our property. she has done very well and proved to us she will attack when we tell her to. We are still working on her stopping once she starts the attack.
What kind of puppies do you sell?
These dogs will be very gentle with its family and wary of strangers. If you want a friendly GS with strangers all you need to do is socialise it several times a week up until age 2 and have many people come to your home as well that are strangers.
They will always alert you when new comers are on your property and if your home is in danger by barking, if you don't want this use a shock collar or better yet don't buy a German shepherd, this is natural for this breed. If you don't want a protection dog I sugest you get an all American line GS most are less protective.
Does this breed bark alot?
It depends on temprament, some only bark for an inportnat reason and some bark for attention. If given plenty of exercise and bathroom trips they will be satisfied and have no reason to bark unless of danger. Some just bark when they are loney and want to be by your side.
If you have any questions please email them and I will put them here.
